Donna Arvidson

My work is inspired by the beauty in our natural world -the endless variety of shapes, colors and light, the emotions, nostalgia and wonder  kindled as I feast my eyes on all that surrounds me. And nowhere have I found more inspiration than here on the Sunshine Coast. I love being in and around the water – lakes, streams, oceans – so my colorful landscapes often feature accessible bodies of water. For eight years I enjoyed learning, inspiration and collegiality as a member of a weekly painting workshop in Calgary, with two fine artists as mentors. Since retiring from my career as an Executive Coach, I have enjoyed having more time to focus on my art. In 2022 I moved to the Sunshine Coast with my husband and worked with others to cofound the Mission Point Painters, a collective of ten artists who paint together, inspire and learn from each other.
